Petrojam Limited invites contractors with suitable experience and resources to submit bids for the execution of Petrojam Limited’s Seawall Rehabilitation Works at its facility located at 75-96 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
Clearing/grubbing areas surrounding existing wall structure;
Demolishing existing wall structure;
Excavating along shoreline for proposed wall and revetment;
Constructing proposed wall along shoreline;
Placing revetment armor stones
Eligibility Criteria
Interested bidders are required to submit the following with their bids:
Copy of valid Tax Compliance Letter (TCL) or valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
Proof of registration with the National Contracts Commission in the category of “Building Construction Grade 1”
Bid Security of Six Hundred Thousand Jamaican Dollars (J$600,000.00) in the form of a Bank Guarantee, Bid Bond or Manager’s Cheque.
Collection of Bidding Documents
Bidding Documents will be available from the Receptionist, Petrojam Limited, 75 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15 as of Monday, July 3, 2017 to Monday July 17, 2017 between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 4:00p.m., at a cost of J$2000 in the form of cash or manager’s cheque. Failure to purchase the bidding documents directly from Petrojam Limited shall result in the rejection of the bid.
Site Visit
A Mandatory Site Visit will be conducted on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10: 00 a.m. at Petrojam Limited’s, Kingston Refinery, 96 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15, Jamaica. All interested contractors are required to contact Mr. Neville McFarlane (Neville.McFarlane@petrojam.com or telephon e: (1876)-23-8611/5) to make arrangements to attend. Safety shoes, hats, pants and glasses are required for the Site Visit. The failure of a bidder to attend the mandatory site visit will result in rejection of the bid.
Clarifications
Clarifications related to this bid may be directed bidqueries@petrojam.com, no later than Tuesday July 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
Deadline for Submission of Bids
Bids shall be valid for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after bid closing and shall be deposited in the tender box labeled “Petrojam Limited’s Seawall Rehabilitation Works” located in the Lobby at the Procurement Unit, Petrojam Limited, 75 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15, no later than Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Late bids will be rejected.
Bid Opening
Bids will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Petrojam Limited, 75 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15 on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:05 a.m. Bidders and/or their representatives are invited to attend the opening.
Petrojam Limited is not obliged to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to terminate the bid process at any point prior to the award of contract without incurring any liability to any of the participants.
