Petrojam Limited invites bidders to submit bids for the NPW Piping & Structural Steel Demolition at its Refinery located at 96 Marcus Garvey Drive, Newport West (NPW) Loading Bay Facility. The estimated duration of this procurement activity is Fifty (50) Calendar days.
The Scope of Works includes but is not limited to the following:
Pipeline Preparation & Flushing, removal of Piping Insulation, Pipe & Pipe Fittings Demolition, Structural Steel demolition inclusive of – Loading Bays, Structural Steel Platform and Walkways, Chain Link Fencing, Nuts Bolts, clips and Extraneous Fasteners, Metal & Concrete pipe Support, removal of Danload Skids
Eligibility Criteria
Interested bidders are required to submit the following with their bids:
Valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) or Tax Compliance Letter (TCL).
Valid National Contracts Commission (NCC) Certificate in the category of Mechanical Works, Grade 2 minimum
Collection of Bidding Documents
Bidding Documents will be available from the Receptionist, Petrojam Limited, 75 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15 as of Tuesday, August 30, 2016 – Thursday, September 8, 2016 between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 4:00p.m., at a cost of Two Thousand Jamaican Dollars (J$2000.00) in the form of cash or manager’s cheque. Failure to purchase the bidding document directly from Petrojam Limited shall result in the rejection of the Bid
Site Visit
A mandatory Site Visit will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Petrojam Limited, Kingston Refinery, 96 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15, Jamaica, W.I. location. All interested contractors are required to attend and can contact Neville McFarlane (923-8611-5; nlm@petrojam.com to make arrangements to attend. Safety shoes, hats and glasses are required for the site visit. The failure of a bidder to attend the mandatory site visit will result in rejection of the bid.

Deadline for Submission of Bids
Bids shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid closing and shall be deposited in the tender box labeled “NPW Piping & Structural Steel Demolition” in the lobby area of the Procurement Unit, Petrojam Limited’s at 75 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15, no later than Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Late bids will be rejected.
Bid Opening
Bids will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Petrojam Limited, 75 Marcus Garvey Drive, Kingston 15 on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:05 a.m. Bidders and/or their representatives are invited to attend.
Petrojam Limited is not obliged to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to terminate the bidding process at any point prior to the award of contract without incurring any liability to any of the participants.
