Brian Richardson is a professional geologist who worked extensively in the geological sciences across the globe for over 25 years.  Prior to joining the Ministry of Science Energy and Technology (MSET) in the capacity of Manager, Oil & Gas, Brian completed nearly eight years of successful accomplishments at the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ). At the PCJ he negotiated key petroleum upstream contracts developing Jamaica’s nascent petroleum upstream and regularly spoke at international conferences promoting Jamaica’s petroleum potential. A strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace, Brian is proud to have actively contributed to Jamaica’s first-ever 3D seismic survey. Brian holds a BSc and MSc in geology, plus several post-graduate certificates including petroleum contract negotiations, natural gas/LNG contracts, petroleum exploration & interpretation, project management (AGILE & PMP) and petroleum upstream fiscal systems modelling.

Brian is a Fellow of the Geological Society of the United Kingdom, member of the Geological Society of Jamaica and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists among other professional societies.
