Mr. Harrington McDermott


Mr. McDermott is an Attorney-at-law and a founding partner of the firm Campbell McDermott. He has considerable experience in civil litigation having appeared in courts at all levels in Jamaica.

Mr. McDermott is a former Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers. While there he advised government ministries, companies and statutory bodies on various issues involving the interpretation of statutes, labour relations and contractual disputes. He also provided legal representation in litigious matters involving employment law, contract law, the law of torts, administrative law and constitutional law. He currently continues to practice in those areas and has a keen interest in residential and commercial developments.

Mr. McDermott holds two degrees with honours from the University of the West Indies. They are a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology and a Bachelor of Laws Degree.
